How to Apply:
Surface preparation: Surfaces must be clean, free from moisture, oil and loose particles. For surfaces of different and specific substrates, we recommend carrying out preliminary tests.
Handling: For plastic tubes, place the plastic applicator nozzle and cut the tip to the desired size. Apply the product using manual (good quality) or pneumatic guns. Unlike other similar brands, Selamais A01, A02, A03, A04 and A05 maintain their original properties after the tube is opened, as long as it is closed after handling by covering the tip of the applicator nozzle, always leaving the applicator nozzle filled with synthetic resin.
Working temperature: The working temperature is 10 to 40ºC (substrates and Selamais A01, A02, A03, A04 and A05). For higher and lower temperatures, we recommend carrying out preliminary tests.
Finishing and reworking: Must be carried out before the sealant has reached its film formation stage. Do not use solvents on the synthetic resin, even after curing. Before using any product, perform a preliminary compatibility test with the sealant.
Painting: Selamais A01, A02, A03, A04 and A05 can be painted after the film formation time. However, we recommend that painting be carried out after the sealant has completely cured, for a better quality finish. The hardness and thickness of the paint layer will reduce the elasticity of the sealant surface, which may cause cracks in the paint.
Residue removal: Uncured Selamais A01, A02, A03, A04 and A05 can be removed from tools and equipment using some aliphatic organic solvents – gasoline, kerosene, thinner, etc. After curing, it can only be removed mechanically.
